Jennifer Cross is excited to be the newest addition to the design team at Pearl Paradise.  Originally from Iowa, she graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in jewelry/metal arts.  During this time she started making and selling her jewelry independently.  In 2006, she was honored to be accepted as 1 of 25 emerging Iowa artists in the Des Moines Arts Festival.

Jennifer strives for her designs to be functional pieces of artwork, as unique as the person who wears it.  Her predominantly organic style mimics nature in fluidity, balance, and movement.  Jennifer attributes much of her creativity in design and precision in technical skill to studying under two well-respected artists in metal working; Chunghi Choo & Kee-Ho Yuen.  Her jewelry & designs are also influenced by the work of Friedrich Becker & Margaret Bourke-White.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys painting, playing music, traveling, & keeping up with her family back in Iowa.

Her favorite pearl is the Tahitian Baroque for its broad range of colours and shapes.  And, like Jennifer, they are free of the traditional ideals of perfection.
