Artist and Jewelry Designer Hisano Takei has been fascinated with jewelry making since childhood. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metalsmithing at California State University of Long Beach where she developed her interest in Jewelry as a form of artistic expression.  She furthered her studies in Jewelry Art and achieved her Masters of Fine Arts in Jewelry at State University New York at New Paltz.  

She enjoys the hands on process of selecting pearls and stringing custom design pearl jewelry.  Besides designing at Pearl Paradise, Hisano teaches Jewelry making and Metalsmithing at community colleges.  Hisano manages to squeeze out her own art work on her free time.
